Dr Appt
Damon had an appointment with Dr Tong yesterday in Springfield. Everything went well and Dr Tong said his heart is the same as last time he was there (two months ago). We talked a lot about Damon's future, what kind of physical limitations he may have, what kind of life he'll have as an adult. Dr Tong wasn't able to really give me very much concrete information because there is so much that is unknown and each child is special with their own circumstances.
I think of everything that we deal with, the uncertainty of the future is the most frustrating. We will continue to trust God for Damon and believe that He will take care of him, but it's so hard to do sometimes. We just have to take one day at a time. I've kind of adopted this as my motto: There is no promise in what tomorrow holds, only in who holds tomorrow. I believe that with all my heart. God is holding our tomorrow and whatever we face, He is in control.
The little boy I mentioned on my last post, Gage, had his surgery and it went very well. He is recovering so please continue to pray for him. I have also mentioned baby Molly before. She is a little one who is still in her mommy's belly. She has two heart defects I think and they are very serious. Her mom was taking meds to try to make her live until she could be born but they stopped working and her heart is failing. As of last night, the signs of her heart failure showed that she will probably be going up to heaven any day now. Her mom's drs are going to try to deliver Molly soon so that possibly she can be born alive and get to spend some time in her parents loving arms before she goes to heaven. They have updated their website since last night so there might be more news but I haven't read it yet. Please pray for peace and comfort for this family. They need it so much right now.
Take care and I'll talk to you all later.
